Operations Technician - York, South Carolina

Plains LPG Services, L.P. is currently looking for an Operations Technician to join the Operations Team in our York, South Carolina location. This position will be responsible for maintaining a safe and clean working environment and handling product pipeline delivery as well as truck loading.
Responsibilities:
- Operate a propane storage terminal with truck loading racks;
- Conduct driver orientations and enforce company policies and procedures;
- Operate a DOT pipeline and one calls;
- Comply with OSHA 1910.119 PSM regulation as it applies to the Tirzah operation;
- Perform various tasks including mechanical troubleshooting; compressor, pump and valve maintenance; testing system safety devices; periodic inspection and calibration of process equipment;
- Coordinate the delivery and receipt of propane.
Qualifications:
- Minimum Grade XII education;
- Previous LPG industry and or truck/pipeline terminal experience is preferred;
- Mechanical, electrical or instrumentation experience, or combined education, in an industrial environment with the ability to diagnose and troubleshoot equipment problems;
- Good verbal and written communication skills;
- Proven computer skills using Microsoft Outlook, Word and Excel;
- Able to work independently with minimal supervision;
- A valid Driver’s License is a condition of employment.
