Located throughout the West Coast, Midwest, and Northeastern United States as well as in the province of Alberta, our LPG facilities include approximately 6 million barrels of useable storage capacity. Our strategically located assets combined with our strong marketing presence in the major LPG storage and trading centers, allow us the flexibility to provide the energy product solutions that our customers require.

Our History

In 2001, Plains All American Pipeline, L.P. acquired the Canadian crude oil pipeline, gathering, storage and terminalling assets of Murphy Oil Company Ltd, as well as the assets of CANPET Energy Group, Inc.; a privately held Calgary based Canadian crude oil and liquefied petroleum gas marketing company. The Murphy and CANPET acquisitions commenced the operations of Plains Marketing Canada, L.P. (established today under the trade name Plains Midstream Canada). The combination of these assets allowed Plains All American to optimize both businesses and establish a solid foundation for growth in Canada.

Today, Plains Midstream Canada has established a leading position in the midstream oil and LPG industries, doing business in over 40 U.S. states and in 5 Canadian provinces. Our success is attributed to the continued practice of operating our business in an environmentally responsible manner, as well as the excellent group of individuals that make up our team here at Plains.
