Crude Oil Operations

Our crude oil infrastructure includes over 3,700 kilometers of mainline and gathering pipeline systems as well as numerous crude oil truck and rail terminals and crude oil cleaning facilities. These crude oil assets have total storage capacity of 3.3 million barrels and are located primarily in the provinces of Alberta, Saskatchewan and Manitoba.

Our existing infrastructure is designed to support our gathering and marketing activities. These activities include:

  • purchasing crude oil from producers at the wellhead and in bulk from aggregators at major pipeline interconnects or trading locations;
  • transporting crude oil on our own proprietary gathering assets and our common carrier pipelines or, when necessary, assets owned and operated by third parties, including pipelines and trucks; and
  • marketing crude oil to refiners or other resellers.
